Archer Aviation, a leader in the development of eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing) aircraft, has successfully conducted a record-setting test flight. The Midnight aircraft, with a pilot on board, flew approximately 88 kilometers in 31 minutes, marking a significant step toward the launch of commercial air taxi services.

The flight took place in California and confirmed the Midnight's key characteristics: reliability, high energy efficiency, and low noise levels. The aircraft's top speed reached 241 km/h. The test was observed by the Chief Financial Officer of United Airlines, a strategic partner of Archer.

The company is now preparing the Midnight for certification with the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration. The first commercial flights are planned to be launched in the United Arab Emirates in 2026-2027. The aircraft is designed to carry four passengers and recharges in just 10–15 minutes.
