Government Commission has been established for celebration of the 140th anniversary of Ashgabat
The President of Turkmenistan has signed a Decree today on the establishment of a Government Commission to hold high-level celebrations and events on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of founding the city of Ashgabat. The document also approved a membership of the Commission and a plan of anniversary events aimed at promoting the image of Ashgabat in the international community as a center of political life, social, economic, technological and cultural development of Turkmenistan. The plan includes the preparation of a cycle of telecasts, documentary and feature films, festivities, new various purpose facilities and comfortable residential buildings commissioning ceremonies, concerts, exhibitions, creative competitions, forums, sports competitions, horse races, etc. The 20th International Universal Exhibition “White City - Ashgabat” will also be held.
