China Becomes Global Leader In Digital Technologies And Artificial Intelligence
China has become a global leader in the development of digital infrastructure, computing power, and artificial intelligence, according to the National Data Administration of the People’s Republic of China.
It is noted that the country holds about 60 percent of patents in this field. Since 2020, national revenues from software development have grown by 80 percent. The introduction of intelligent technologies is accelerating the modernization of China’s industry, agriculture, and transportation.
“Investments in digital infrastructure have created huge market demand. They stimulate innovation and support new business models,” said Liu Leihong, head of the National Data Administration.
At present, China has more than 10,000 “smart” factories and plants, and 80 percent of industries are using intelligent manufacturing.
“The smart healthcare sector is growing particularly fast. At the same time, the digital social security system has already covered more than one billion people,” noted Chen Ronghui, deputy head of the National Data Administration.
The agency emphasized that building a digital China has a profound impact on the development of the entire country.
