French business interested in active cooperation with Turkmenistan
Chairman of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET) Dovran Khudayberdiev met online with the Executive Director of the Union of Entrepreneurs “MEDEF International” (Movement of French Enterprises) Philippe Gaultier.
The Union of Entrepreneurs “MEDEF” is the most important representative of French business, which brings together 800,000 French enterprises of various sizes and industries. He is a recognized and needed partner of the French government, both in social and economic projects and negotiations. Large international French companies take part in the activities of the union within the framework of 85 bilateral councils.
MEDEF is the link between French businesses and high-level leaders from different countries, as well as the private sector in these countries. The union was created in 1989 with the aim of encouraging the activities of French enterprises abroad, establishing direct contacts with government leaders and private representatives of countries around the world.
As a result of the two-way video meeting, Dovran Khudayberdiev and Philippe Gaultier signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the UIET and MEDEF International. The signed document will allow expanding cooperation with French colleagues and increasing the economic interest of large foreign, and, in particular, French companies in Turkmenistan.
Also at the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects and opportunities for cooperation between the business circles of Turkmenistan and France, and also agreed to soon organize a joint business forum in Ashgabat or Paris with the participation of businessmen of the two countries.
