Political Parties, Public Service Organizations of Turkmenistan get new office complex
The political parties and several of the public service organizations of Turkmenistan have been given a new office complex in the central zone of Ashgabat. The multi-storey building, formerly the exhibition centre, will house the main offices of the Democratic Party, the Agrarian Party, the National Trade Union, the Women’s Union, the Maktumguly Youth Organization and the Peace Fund of Turkmenistan. President Berdymuhamedov visited the complex Tuesday. There is a vast array of facilities including five conference rooms with capacity for 20 each, two conference rooms with capacity for 130 each, and one conference room with seating capacity of 60. There is a meeting room for 500, a library, and other related facilities. Centralization of physical space is a universal concept for the sake of economy and efficiency. The United Nations follows this approach in its work. Turkmenistan, a staunch supporter of the United Nations, follows this principle in its internal management policy. The idea here is that the people approaching the political parties or public service organizations should be able to find under one roof everyone they want to consult with.
