The National Tourist Zone of Avaza, located on the coast of the Caspian Sea in the Balkan velayat, continues to strengthen its position as one of Turkmenistan's main resorts. The tourist center is visited by about 150,000 guests every year, according to Anadolu Agency.

Avaza attracts tourists with its pristine white architecture, well-maintained streets, sandy beaches, and crystal-clear water. Its developed coastal infrastructure—from luxurious hotels to walking parks and recreation areas—makes the region a popular destination for both family vacations and business events.

The resort has also hosted major international events, including the 3rd UN Conference on Least Developed Countries (LLDC3).

The ongoing development of the transport network and landscaping efforts make Avaza a comfortable and appealing destination for tourists year-round.
