Turkmenistan and Austria discuss creation of joint pharmaceutical products
Creation of co-production and manufacture of medical preparations in Turkmenistan became a subject of detailed conversation during the online meeting on Wednesday, February 24, of representatives of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan with directors Austrian pharmaceutical companies.
The meeting became continuation of the dialogue which started in January in the video meeting.
Owners of such famous pharmaceutical companies as Sigmapharm and DiproMed - Bernhard Wittmann and Christian Eder concretised the proposals and in more details discussed prospect of their embodiment.
The meeting was organised by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Vienna, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, the Austrian -Turkmen Society.
From the Turkmen party heads and representatives of some departments and divisions of the system of Ministry of Health, including the Center for Registration of Medicinal Products and State Quality Control and Centre of Public Health and Nutrition, Department of Virology, the Main Pharmaceutical Association and others took part in the meeting.
The partner of the Austrian -Turkmen Society - TMT Consulting Group also took part in the meeting.
The Austrian businessmen made detailed presentation of the companies and presented production manufactured by them. Ways of expansion of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Austria in the field of public health services, including creation of co-productions of medicines were considered.
Issues of deliveries of preparations of the companies and granting of a necessary package of documents for registration of preparations in Turkmenistan, first of all, directed to prevention of virus infections were discussed as well.
Sigmapharm already delivers to Turkmenistan a number of the preparations registered by the Ministry of Health of the country. The great interest was shown in new preparations of the company: a spray with vitamin D and nasal spray - Coldamaris + which after the clinical tests held in Austria is recommended today for suppression of coronavirus infection, thanks to protective layer formation on a mucous membrane of respiratory ways.
DiproMed works in two directions - manufacture of modern express tests for detection of narcotic substances in the human body, on hair and the surface of subjects, and other direction - fast infectious-diagnostic tests for detection of variety of viruses. The company has the European and international certificates. From the current year the company delivers the test systems to the United Nations institutions.
It’s some test systems are already registered in Turkmenistan, and their first delivery has been made for the Ministry of Health of the country. During the present online meeting registration possibilities of express tests for detection of coronavirus infection and antibodies in Turkmenistan in the near future were discussed.
