WHO: pandemic will end in early 2022

The new type coronavirus infection (COVID-19) pandemic will end in early 2022. Hans Kluge, head of the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Office for Europe said this to the Danish TV channel DR.
According to a WHO representative, 2021 will also be the year of coronavirus, but the situation will be more manageable compared to a year earlier. “The worst case scenario is over. We know more about the virus compared to 2020, when the virus just started to spread”, Kluge said.
At the same time, Kluge warned that he was only giving his own forecast, and no one could predict how the events around the situation with the pandemic would develop.
“The virus will remain, but I don’t think there will be a need for restrictions. This is an optimistic message”, the WHO representative added.
