The Head of Tatarstan Arrived in Turkmenistan as Part of the Russian Delegation
Rustam Minnikhanov, Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, arrived in Turkmenistan on a working visit on the evening of August 4. At the international airport of the city of Turkmenbashi, he was met by Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan Mammetguly Astanagulov, Russian Ambassador Ivan Volynkin and other officials.
Minnikhanov will take part in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), which is taking place in the Avaza National Tourist Zone. He is part of the Russian delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev. The program of the head of Tatarstan also includes meetings with the leadership of Turkmenistan and other honored guests of the forum, the press service of the Rais reports.
The LLDC3 conference is held once every ten years and is an important platform for developing strategies to overcome logistical and infrastructural barriers. Russia has traditionally been one of the leading partners of these countries, providing assistance as part of international development assistance. This is due to the fact that most of the CIS, EAEU and SCO countries are part of this group.
Thus, Tatarstan's participation in the conference emphasizes its active role in strengthening international partnerships and promoting joint economic initiatives within the framework of federal policy.
