Ashgabat, August 1 | ORIENT. Ms. Aitzhan covered in detail each stage of WTO accession — from the submission of the Memorandum on Foreign Trade Regime to bilateral negotiations. Particular attention was paid to the importance of interdepartmental coordination and the use of successful international experience, in particular, the practice of Kazakhstan.

The parties also discussed the possibility of expanding technical and expert support from ADB, including trainings and seminars for Turkmen specialists. These measures will help improve competencies in areas such as international standards and intellectual property protection.

Following the meeting, the Ministry of Finance and Economy expressed gratitude to ADB for its assistance and confirmed its readiness to continue cooperation. The recommendations received will form the basis for developing a roadmap that will allow for effective preparation for the next stage of negotiations with the WTO.
