August 1, Minsk. The Embassy of Turkmenistan hosted a meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Belarus Nazarguly Shagulyev and new Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the State of Qatar Hamoud Saleh Mohsen Nasser Al-Saadi. During the constructive dialogue, the parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral and international cooperation, confirming their mutual interest in further strengthening cooperation.

Ambassador Shagulyev emphasized that Turkmenistan is a reliable and honest partner, open to mutually beneficial cooperation. Particular attention in the conversation was paid to the country's significant initiatives in the current 2025. The Ambassador recalled that, on the initiative of Turkmenistan and with the unanimous support of the UN General Assembly, 2025 was declared the International Year of Peace and Trust. This has a special symbolic significance, since on December 12, 2025, Turkmenistan will celebrate 30 years of permanent neutrality, recognized by the international community and which has made a significant contribution to regional stability and sustainable development.

Ambassador Shagulyev also informed his Qatari counterpart about upcoming major international events. In particular, the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3) will be held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone from August 5 to 8.

This event will become a key platform for deepening cooperation between the participating countries and their partners. It is expected that the forum will help find solutions to specific development problems, reduce logistics costs and strengthen integration into the global economy.

Chargé d'Affaires of Qatar Hamoud Saleh Mohsen Nasser Al-Saadi expressed sincere gratitude for the warm welcome. He confirmed Qatar's interest in further strengthening and expanding cooperation with Turkmenistan in all relevant areas.

The Qatari side highly appreciated Turkmenistan's peacekeeping initiatives and its contribution to building trust in the international arena. The representative of Qatar noted the importance of both bilateral dialogue and interaction within multilateral formats, including the upcoming conference in Avaza.
