At the end of July 2025, the release of Cjam 2.1.1.0 took place. This is a lightweight, free MP3 editor for Windows PCs. The Cjam project, which has a closed source code, was first released in December 2019, with a major 2.0.0.0 update introduced in June 2025.

Cjam allows users to cut, merge, and edit MP3 files without re-encoding them. This means that audio quality remains unchanged and processing is instantaneous. The program is ideal for quick, lossless audio editing, whether it's for trimming music, merging tracks, or preparing audio for podcasts and tutorials.

The Cjam project features batch audio processing, scripting support, CUE file and playlist management, and a simple, intuitive interface. Cjam is designed for those who need efficient MP3 editing without the complexity of full-featured audio editors.

To run Cjam, a PC with Windows 10 or a later version is required, along with Microsoft .NET 6.0 or a later version. The editor supports MP3 (.mp3), CUE (.cue), M3U (.m3u) files, as well as its own proprietary Cjam file formats (CJAMC, CJAMJ, CJAM).

In version Cjam 2.1.1.0, developers have fixed previously identified bugs, including a problem with block splitting. The updated version also adds new command parameters (e.g., qfs, qss), new command aliases (e.g., specifyarea, mapfade), and improves the display of the waveform on the screen.
