A Turkmen athlete has won a silver medal at the Asian Taekwondo Championship

The Asian Junior and Cadet Taekwondo Championship was held in the city of Kuching from July 23 to 29, with athletes from 44 countries participating.

At this tournament, Turkmen athlete Alykhan Maksadov, competing in the 33 kg weight category, won a silver medal.

During the competition, Maksadov defeated opponents from Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq (in the semifinals). In the decisive final match, he was defeated by an opponent from Taipei, finishing in second place.

This victory clearly demonstrates the high level of training of Turkmen athletes and their coaches.
