At the initiative of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan, a two-day event was held in Astana to mark the International Year of Peace and Trust, as well as the 30th anniversary of the United Nations’ recognition of Turkmenistan’s status of Permanent Neutrality. A color image of the official 2025 logo was displayed on the central riverside screen.

According to the organizers, the event symbolized Kazakhstan’s support for Turkmenistan’s peace-oriented initiatives on the international stage and affirmed the strong traditional ties between the two nations.

In 2025, Turkmenistan marks an important milestone — the 30th anniversary of the country’s official recognition of neutrality by the United Nations. In this context, Turkmenistan sees the International Year of Peace and Trust as a key phase in advancing humanitarian and peacebuilding efforts.

The event in Astana represented another step in strengthening cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries and underscored their shared values of good neighborliness and mutual understanding.
