The telecommunications infrastructure in the Avaza tourist zone has been completed in preparation for the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Communications announced.

According to the ministry, Wi-Fi networks, 4G+ mobile internet, and modern audio systems have been installed throughout the Avaza complex, surrounding facilities, and Turkmenbashi International Airport. Server systems were also deployed to support the forum’s official website and corporate email communications.

To ensure stable internet access, international leased line capacities have been expanded and backup measures implemented. Conference participants will have access to high-speed connectivity and digital services, including the purchase of SIM cards and eSIMs from the national operator, Altyn Asyr, at dedicated service points.

Hotels within the Avaza zone have been equipped with fiber optic and internal cabling, providing Wi-Fi and the ÄlemTV service, which offers more than 200 television channels. Digital communication systems have also been installed along the route to the forum venue.

The UN conference in Turkmenistan is expected to host delegations from 32 countries, as well as representatives from small island developing states, least developed countries, international organizations, and the private sector. Heads of state and government, senior UN officials, representatives of international institutions, and NGOs are anticipated to attend.

On July 9, the national leader of Turkmenistan visited the Avaza complex to review preparations for the international event.
