Samsung's latest foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7, unveiled in early July, have achieved significant success in South Korea. Samsung has secured over 1.04 million pre-orders for these models within its domestic market.

This figure represents a slight increase over the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5 (which garnered 1.02 million pre-orders) and a notable lead over the previous generation's Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 (910,000 pre-orders).

The company reported that 60% of all pre-orders for the new foldable devices were for the Galaxy Z Fold7. The price of this model in South Korea is 2,379,300 Korean Won (approximately $1,715 USD). This marks the first instance where a Galaxy Z Fold model has surpassed a Galaxy Z Flip model in pre-order volume.

The pre-order period for the new smartphones in South Korea concludes on July 28, with open retail sales commencing on July 29.
