International Chess Day at the Russian House: Master Classes and Simultaneous Games
A wonderful event dedicated to the International Chess Day took place at the Russian House in Ashgabat on July 17. The intellectual game festival, organized jointly with the Chess Federation of Turkmenistan, brought together young chess enthusiasts aged 7 and older.
The guests were welcomed by Vepa Myalikgulyev, President of the Chess Federation of Turkmenistan. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of popularizing chess among young people and supporting young talents.
One of the central events of the program was a simultaneous games session, which was held by Mergen Kakabaev, Secretary General of the Chess Federation of Turkmenistan, head coach of the national men's team and FIDE master. The young participants had the opportunity to compete with a professional and test their strength against an experienced player.
The event also included educational and developmental classes:
"Learn to Play Chess in 30 Minutes" — a class that became an excellent starting point for beginners.
Master class "Chess Life Hacks" — here, an experienced coach shared useful techniques and strategies that will help improve the game.
Participants also received advice on developing chess thinking, tactics and confidence at the board.
The event was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, leaving all participants not only with pleasant impressions, but also with new knowledge, inspiration and a desire for further development in the world of chess.
