Turkmenistan Approves New Alcohol Harm Prevention Program
Ashgabat, July 18 | ORIENT. The President of Turkmenistan signed a Resolution approving the National Program for the Prevention of Harmful Effects of Alcohol in Turkmenistan for 2025–2028 and the Action Plan for its implementation. This step is aimed at comprehensively improving the health and well-being of the country's population.
The main goal of the new program is to achieve spiritual and physical health of the population, improve the health of citizens, increase their well-being and increase life expectancy. The document provides for the implementation of effective and comprehensive measures throughout the country.
The implementation of the Action Plan is required to be ensured by ministries, departments, as well as the administrations of velayats, the city of Ashgabat and the city of Arkadag. This emphasizes the nationwide nature and comprehensive coverage of the program.
The new program is part of Turkmenistan's long-term strategy to form a healthy lifestyle and create conditions for the well-being of every citizen.
