In Brussels, it was held a meeting between Ambassador of Turkmenistan Sapar Palvanov and Mr. Heinrich Kerstgens, Director of Strategic Projects of the Board of Directors of Rhenus Group, one of the largest international logistics companies in Europe.

The main goal of the meeting was to discuss Rhenus Group's plans to significantly increase the volume of cargo transportation through the territory of Turkmenistan. The company views Turkmenistan not just as a transit zone, but as a key transport artery between Europe and Asia, with real potential to become a sustainable and highly efficient logistics route.

The company representative emphasized that against the backdrop of global instability and changing global logistics routes, it is Central Asia, and Turkmenistan at its center, that offers a reliable, transparent and predictable route for cargo delivery. Particular attention was paid to the capabilities of the Turkmenbashi seaport and the country's developed railway network.

In addition to transit, Rhenus Group has expressed interest in facilitating the export of products manufactured in Turkmenistan to international and especially European markets. The company views participation in such projects as a long-term investment in sustainable and mutually beneficial logistics.

The Ambassador of Turkmenistan emphasized that the development of a modern, high-tech and open transport infrastructure is one of the national priorities. Turkmenistan is actively investing in the construction of new roads, the modernization of railway lines and the expansion of seaport capabilities in the Caspian region. These efforts are aimed at strengthening the country's role as a reliable bridge between the East and the West.

During the meeting, the parties expressed their common interest in developing partnerships and agreed to continue a substantive dialogue at the expert and technical levels.

Rhenus Group is an international logistics company with over 100 years of history, headquartered in Germany. The company is one of the largest logistics operators in Europe and specializes in multimodal transportation, warehouse logistics and supply chains around the world. Rhenus is represented in more than 70 countries and manages thousands of logistics routes on all continents.
