Turkmenistan Oil and Gas University has been named after Yagshigeldi Kakayev
The Parliament of Turkmenistan has promulgated a resolution on the International University of Oil and Gas (Ashgabat) awarding the name of Yagshigeldi Kakayev, a statesman who supervised the country’s fuel and energy sector. As stated in the resolution, this decision was made for the special merits of Mr. Kakayev to the state and society, his contribution to increasing the economic power and authority of Turkmenistan, the large-scale development of the country’s oil and gas complex and integration into the international industry system, the introduction of scientific achievements and advanced technologies, many years of selfless and honest work. The proposal for the assignment of the name of Yagshigeldi Kakayev to the country’s Higher Oil School was made by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
