Joint meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers and Security Council - personnel issues and modernization in the oil and gas sector
Ministers and heads of departments, institutions of higher education, media representatives, mayors and governors took part in an enlarged joint meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers and the State Security Council of Turkmenistan on Thursday, February 11. The meeting reviewed personnel issues such as the appointments and dismissals, as well as some draft documents. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov pointed out the need to introduce advanced technologies into the oil and gas production and attract foreign investments. In addition, the head of state ordered to accelerate the TAPI gas pipeline construction pace and complete it to schedule, as well as to step up exploration, research and drilling works in order to increase oil and gas production in Turkmenistan.
