Preparations for the upcoming meeting and related events became one of the central topics of today's telephone conversation between Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov and his Croatian counterpart Gordan Grlic-Radman.

As part of the planned visit to Ashgabat in October of this year by the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, key events aimed at significantly intensifying Turkmen-Croatian cooperation will also be held. These include the fourth meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Croatian Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation. This event will become a platform for substantive discussions on ways to develop trade and economic ties.

In addition to the Commission meeting, an Economic Forum will be organized with the participation of representatives of the business circles of Turkmenistan and Croatia. The forum will provide an opportunity for direct dialogue, exchange of experience and search for new areas of mutually beneficial investment and trade partnership.

The ministers noted with satisfaction the positive experience of cooperation between the two countries on international platforms, primarily within the United Nations. In the context of global efforts to ensure peace and security, the parties also emphasized their commitment to interaction within the OSCE, which demonstrates the breadth and depth of their bilateral dialogue.

During the conversation, issues related to the preparation and holding of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), for which Turkmenistan is actively preparing, were also touched upon.

The heads of the Foreign Ministries also emphasized the importance of the International Forum on Peace and Trust, scheduled for December 12, 2025 in Ashgabat, which underscores Turkmenistan's desire to strengthen global stability and constructive dialogue.

The upcoming visit and accompanying events are intended to give a new powerful impetus to Turkmen-Croatian relations, strengthen mutual trust and open new horizons for productive cooperation.
