Winners of the “Turkmenistan – Land of Opportunities” Startup Competition Awarded in Ashgabat
A solemn award ceremony for the participants of the “Turkmenistan – Land of Opportunities” startup competition was held in Ashgabat. Organised by the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan with the support of IE ‘Ojar Aziya’, the event served as a vivid example of support for youth initiatives and the country’s innovation potential.
The ceremony brought together young entrepreneurs whose projects reflect a drive for progress and the resolution of pressing challenges.
No Judgement for the Winners
The jury selected projects that combined innovation with practical value:
• 1st Place: Zarina Seyitiyewa with her lip balm project “Femmeli” – a promising concept for the beauty industry.
• 2nd Place (shared): Gulyalek Allakulyyeva with an eco-antiseptic project made from coniferous waste, and Begench Rejepov with a tech-focused web platform called “Hiňlen.”
• 3rd Place (shared): Dowlet Amanov with a concept for an advertising agency; Kerim Meredov with a robot called “Smart Employee”; and Rozymyrat Allanazarov with handmade bags and leather goods production.
Special Recognition Awards
Encouragement prizes were given to the following innovative initiatives: Jeyhun Jumashov – “Hazyna Stock,” a digital media platform, Yaran Hudayberdiyev – “Hydra Flow,” a water management technology, Yhlas Gurbanov – “Synçy” (“Observer”), an educational website, Aylar Meredova – “E-Depder,” an e-learning project, Mahri Hummadova – “Eco Tex,” a zero-waste textile production venture.
The winners not only received recognition but also gained access to expert consultations and investment opportunities.
National Significance
The competition highlighted the central role of youth in Turkmenistan’s development. Many participants – including students – demonstrated a deep understanding of global trends and how to adapt them to national realities. Their projects reflect patriotism and a desire to contribute to the country’s prosperity, which is especially meaningful in this jubilee year.
