The Dutch company Tiler has introduced Compact, an innovative device enabling wireless charging for any electric bicycle. This system aims to significantly streamline the recharging process, making it exceptionally convenient for users.

Tiler Compact comprises two primary components: a ground-based docking station and a special kickstand installed on the e-bike. The kickstand integrates wiring that connects directly to the bike's battery. According to Tiler, the accessory is compatible with 75% of existing platforms, including popular brands like Bosch, Yamaha, and Bafang. The device itself weighs only 2 kg and boasts robust protection against water and dust, rated at IP67.

The docking station is a slim platform that can be embedded directly into concrete. It's engineered to withstand all weather conditions—rain, snow, heat—and to endure the pressure from other vehicles' wheels.

The charging process is remarkably simple: as soon as the cyclist parks the bike and places the kickstand on the docking station, wireless charging begins automatically. A white indicator light on the pad confirms the start of the process. The system supports 150W charging power, allowing a 500 Wh battery to be fully charged in approximately 3.5 hours.

Tiler's technology has already proven its effectiveness in practice: the company has installed over 200 such charging stations across Europe, near bike rental points, hotels, and delivery services. For instance, a delivery service in Munich managed to save approximately 1250 euros per month thanks to this wireless system.
