Tecno Spark 40: slim and accessible smartphones with enhanced AI
Tecno has introduced the new Spark 40 series of accessible smartphones, which includes the Spark 40 Pro+, Spark 40 Pro, Spark 40, and Spark 40C models. These new devices feature a premium design and incorporate AI functionalities.
A notable emphasis has been placed on the slim profile of these devices: The Spark 40 Pro+ measures just 6.49 mm in thickness, while the Pro model is 6.69 mm thick. All models are available in black, white, and titanium color options and boast IP64 dust and splash protection. The displays of the Pro+ and Pro variants are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
The Spark 40 Pro+ is the first in the series to be equipped with the 6nm MediaTek Helio G200 processor, achieving an AnTuTu benchmark score of approximately 470,000. The Spark 40 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate. All primary models feature 5200 mAh batteries with 45W fast charging capabilities. The Pro+ additionally supports 30W wireless charging and 5W reverse wireless charging, while a bypass charging feature mitigates heat buildup during gaming sessions. Tecno guarantees 80% battery capacity retention after 2000 charging cycles and offers a five-year warranty.
The Pro+ and Pro models are outfitted with 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED displays, offering a 144 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 4500 cd/m². These models also include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
The Spark 40 series smartphones integrate the AI assistant Ella (powered by ChatGPT, DeepSeek, and Gemini), which provides features such as Circle to Search, speech-to-text conversion, image editing, and AI dialogues. The devices operate on HIOS 15, based on Android 15.
The main camera across all models is 50 MP, with the Pro+ further featuring Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) and Tecno RAW algorithm support. These smartphones support Super Wi-Fi 2.0, GPS 2.0, NFC, and an IR blaster. The FreeLink function enables offline file sharing at distances up to 200 meters.
