Six more medals for turkmen weightlifters at Asian championships in Astana
Turkmen athletes added six more medals to their team's tally on the fourth day of the Asian Junior and Youth Weightlifting Championships in Astana. The tournament continued on July 7.
In the junior 79 kg weight category, Didarbek Jumabaev won three silver medals. He lifted 138 kg in the snatch, 174 kg in the clean and jerk, and a combined total of 312 kg, securing him second place.
Among junior girls in the 63 kg weight category, Medina Amanova earned three bronze medals for Turkmenistan. She achieved 88 kg in the snatch, 110 kg in the clean and jerk, and a total of 198 kg.
After four days of the championship, the Turkmen team ranks 8th overall among juniors (with 4 silver and 5 bronze medals) and 10th among youth (with 3 bronze medals).
