An important working meeting with representatives of the leading Swiss pharmaceutical company La Roche was held at the Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan to the UN Office in Geneva.

The key topic of discussion was the development of joint projects aimed at medical support for children with rare diseases, such as hemophilia and spinal muscular atrophy. As part of these initiatives, Turkmen patients are already receiving vital drugs that significantly improve their quality of life and help prevent disability.

The meeting also discussed issues of long-term provision of necessary therapy, organization of training for Turkmen specialists and the transfer of modern diagnostic materials, the diplomatic mission reported. Roche confirmed its readiness to continue and develop this cooperation on a sustainable basis in the context of improving the level of medical care in Turkmenistan.
