National Leader of the Turkmen People Assesses Progress in Healthcare Modernization
National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working visit to the capital and the city of Arkadag on July 5. This visit, covered in the news release of the national State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, demonstrated not only the traditional inspection of construction sites, but also revealed a number of important accents and direct instructions, especially in the field of healthcare.
The focus of the trip was the inspection of medical institutions under construction and planned in Ashgabat. Deputy Prime Minister Baymyrat Annamammedov, who oversees the construction complex, reported on the progress of the work. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, having familiarized himself with the projects of the capital's medical institutions, including the clinical complex of the M. Garryev State Medical University and the Indira Gandhi Ashgabat Medical School, expressed a number of critical comments, emphasizing the importance of a systematic approach to the implementation of these projects.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov focused on the active introduction of modern advanced technologies and digital systems into the healthcare system. He also called for every effort to improve the experience and professional level of doctors, including through the development of international relations.
The National Leader proposed considering the possibility of co-locating a medical school and residential buildings for teachers and students next to the clinical complex. In his opinion, this will contribute to the professional development of young people and the acquisition of practical experience.
During the helicopter flight, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov got acquainted with the condition of existing and under-construction medical centers in Ashgabat, as well as the progress of construction of the second stage of the city of Arkadag.
In Arkadag, the production complexes of the medical cluster, a carpet-making enterprise and the construction of a mosque were inspected. The trip ended with an inspection of modern healthcare centers in the capital, where the emphasis was placed on compliance with international standards and the need for further use of advanced technologies and world experience in urban planning and healthcare.
