Sixteen-year-old Aslan Agadadaev from Ashgabat has secured a bronze medal in Greco-Roman wrestling at the U17 Asian Championship, held in Vung Tau, Vietnam.

An 11th-grade student at the Turkmen-Turkish school, Agadadaev placed third in the 110 kg weight category. After a defeat in the quarter-finals, Aslan emerged victorious in a hard-fought bronze medal match against an athlete from Kyrgyzstan.

This accomplishment marks the fifth medal for the Turkmenistan national team at this Asian wrestling championship, including four previously earned medals.

It was previously reported that at the U23 Asian Championship, Turkmen wrestlers earned four medals: three in freestyle wrestling and one in Greco-Roman.
