Turkmenistan and Commerzbank AG Enter a New Stage of Financial Cooperation
On July 3, in the financial capital of Germany, Frankfurt am Main, a meeting between the Consul of Turkmenistan in Germany Murad Ozbekbaev and the Director and Senior Manager for Work with Financial Institutions of Commerzbank AG Andrey Kononov was held.
During the talks, the parties discussed the further development of interbank cooperation. Noting the long-term and fruitful cooperation of Commerzbank AG with financial institutions of Turkmenistan, the meeting participants emphasized the positive dynamics of current contacts. Among the key topics, various aspects of export financing, financial servicing of projects and support for small and medium-sized businesses in Turkmenistan were touched upon.
The parties also exchanged views on the prospects for organizing joint business events in Frankfurt am Main, which could open up new opportunities for bilateral economic ties.
Commerzbank AG is one of the largest banks in Germany and a leading banking concern in Europe with headquarters in Frankfurt am Main. The bank's cooperation with Turkmen banks began in the mid-1990s, and since 2008, a representative office of this financial institution has been operating in Ashgabat.
