A delegation from Turkmenistan, comprising representatives from the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Education, and the State Energy Institute, recently concluded a visit to Germany. This visit was conducted within the framework of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) project titled "European Union for Green Development of Turkmenistan: Policy Dialogue and Action on Climate Change for 2024–2028".

During their visit, the Turkmen delegation held several significant meetings. An official meeting took place at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg with Rector Professor Claudia Becker. The discussions, held in an atmosphere of mutual understanding, focused on the advancement of higher education, scientific collaboration, and academic activities. Furthermore, a specialized event was organized, dedicated to modern energy-saving technologies and the utilization of renewable energy sources.

The delegation also visited Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Köthen, where they discussed the current status and potential for developing academic and scientific ties between universities in Turkmenistan and Germany.

The visit concluded with a meeting at Clausthal University of Technology in Saxony with Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, Professor Joachim Deubener. This meeting explored opportunities for cooperation and exchange in key areas, including materials science, energy systems, environmental technologies, and digital transformation.

This ознакомительная поездка (familiarization trip) represents a crucial step in strengthening bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and Germany. The productive meetings held with representatives from scientific, educational, and diplomatic circles have opened new avenues for collaboration in science, technology, education, and culture. The experience gained and the relationships established provide a solid foundation for the further development of joint initiatives.

It was previously reported that a Turkmen delegation visited a German university to discuss cooperation in green energy.
