As part of the visit of the delegation of Turkmenistan led by Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov to Azerbaijan on July 3, a meeting was held with acting Deputy Prime Minister of Afghanistan for Economic Affairs Abdul Ghani Baradar.

During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed current issues in the field of political-diplomatic and trade-economic cooperation, the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reported.

Particular attention was paid to energy and transport-communication cooperation. In particular, the issues of construction of the transnational gas pipeline Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI), power lines and fiber-optic communication along the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan (TAP) route were touched upon.
