Turkmen athletes to participate in VII World Mas-Wrestling Championship in Mongolia

From July 30 to August 3, Turkmen athletes will compete in the VII World Mas-Wrestling Championship for men and women, held in the Arkhangai Aimag, Mongolia. These competitions will take place at the ARA complex and are expected to gather athletes from 43 countries.

Among the participants, a delegation from Turkmenistan will join athletes from Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Brazil, Egypt,, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, USA, Uzbekistan, as well as Angola, Bangladesh, Benin, Ghana, Zambia, Jordan, Iran, Cameroon, Canada, Congo, Côte d'Ivoire, Nigeria, Pakistan, Poland, Syria, Slovakia, Somalia, Tajikistan, and the Czech Republic, among others. Turkmenistan's participation highlights the nation's growing interest in mas-wrestling and its commitment to strengthening international sporting ties.

This international event is organized under the auspices of the International Mas-Wrestling Federation, in collaboration with the Mas-Wrestling Federation of Mongolia and local authorities of the Arkhangai Aimag. Mas-wrestling is experiencing active development in Mongolia.

The upcoming championship will not only determine the world's strongest mas-wrestlers but also serve to showcase Mongolia's rich culture. For Turkmenistan, this presents a significant opportunity to demonstrate the athletic prowess of its competitors on a global stage.
