Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was Awarded 9th Dan in Taekwondo: Meetings with Foreign Partners
On June 28, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held meetings with the heads of large foreign companies who arrived in Turkmenistan on a visit.
A special event of the day was the ceremonial awarding of the highest degree of mastery in taekwondo - 9th dan - to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The certificate and a special uniform were presented by head of the Kukkiwon Taekwondo Federation of the Republic of Korea, Chon Kapkil, noting the merits of the National Leader of the Turkmen people in popularizing the sport and his personal example for young people, TDH reports.
The head of the Khalk Maslakhaty emphasized that he regards this recognition as an honor bestowed upon all Turkmen taekwondo practitioners, and confirmed that he will continue to create all conditions for the development of this sport in the country. Meetings with business delegations emphasized the strategic focus of Turkmenistan’s foreign economic policy.
During the talks with Chairman of the Board of the Korean company Daewoo Engineering & Construction, Jeong Won-ju, the prospects for expanding partnership in the oil and gas and chemical sectors were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the company's participation in the creation of a medical cluster in the city of Arkadag, where it must fulfill its obligations, adhering to high quality standards.
At a meeting with the Executive Director of the Japanese company Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Kenji Sanada, the high level of trade and economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and Japan was confirmed. Having discussed many years of effective cooperation in the implementation of large industrial projects, the parties considered new joint initiatives in the innovation sphere.
Thus, the working day of the National Leader of the Turkmen people demonstrated the multi-vector development of the country: from advanced technologies and investments in construction to international cooperation in the field of sports and culture.
