President of Turkmenistan Receives Chairman of the Board of Daewoo E&C
On June 28, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Chairman of the Board of the Korean company Daewoo Engineering & Construction Jeong Won-ju. The meeting took place on the eve of the celebrations on the occasion of the second anniversary of the opening of the city of Arkadag, which gave the visit a special context.
The guest congratulated the head of state on this significant date and conveyed warm greetings from the President of the Republic of Korea. During the conversation, it was noted that Turkmenistan attaches particular importance to strengthening long-term relations with the Republic of Korea, based on the principles of mutual respect and trust. During the meeting, the parties discussed the successful activities of Korean companies in key sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan, in particular, in the oil and gas and chemical industries.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov especially highlighted the project for the construction of a complex for the production of mineral fertilizers in Turkmenabat, implemented jointly with Daewoo. The head of state called it the beginning of a new stage in bilateral cooperation and wished success in its implementation, TDH reports.
The businessman, in turn, confirmed the commitment of the company he heads to strict compliance with all contractual obligations, noting the favorable conditions created in Turkmenistan for effective operations.
