International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Established in Turkmenistan
In accordance with the decree of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, a new higher education institution is being created in the country – the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. The main goal of the university is to support the business sector through the training, retraining and advanced training of specialists with higher education.
In connection with the creation of the new university, personnel decisions were made. The following have been dismissed from their positions: Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the Oguzkhan Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan – Khydyrguly Kadyrov; Vice-Rector for Research of the same university – Aimyrat Mukhammedov; Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management – Handurdy Handurdyev.
According to the decree of the head of state, all three have been appointed to the management of the new educational institution. Khydyrguly Kadyrov will head the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs as rector, Aimyrat Mukhammedov has been appointed vice-rector for research, and Khandurdy Khandurdyyev has been appointed vice-rector for academic work.
The Presidential Decree also approved a number of organizational measures that provide for the start of student admission to the new university from the 2025-2026 academic year, and the possibility of inviting foreign teachers and specialists to conduct the educational process.
