TSU celebrates second anniversary of Arkadag “smart” city and the unveiling of the "Arkadag" star
On June 27th, a commemorative conference was held at Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly to mark the second anniversary of the construction and commissioning of the Arkadag "smart" city, as well as the unveiling of the "Arkadag" star, named by the “Space-Earth” society of scientists in 2024.
During the conference, university faculty and astronomy students underscored the historical significance of the Arkadag "smart" city. The city's construction was initiated under the program of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag, and its commissioning received the blessing of Arkadagly Hero Serdar. It was proudly emphasized that the city of Arkadag has, to date, received approximately 25 international certificates, commendations, and awards.
The celebratory conference also included the presentation of commemorative gifts and diplomas to high school students and university students who achieved success in the Abu Reyhan Biruni Astronomical Olympiad, organized by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan. A student from Turkmen State University Magtymguly was also honored with a commemorative gift, having secured a first-degree diploma, a breastplate, and a cup at the international competition "Best Student of Central Asia".
An exhibition featuring thematic books, works of decorative and applied art, and student achievements in project competitions, various constructions, and inventions was organized on the university grounds. The festive atmosphere was further enhanced by performances from singers and dutar players.
