Turkmen Agricultural University accepts students from Uzbekistan for internship
From June 25 to July 4, the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov is hosting students from the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers of the Republic of Uzbekistan for an industrial internship. This visit is facilitated by a Cooperation agreement signed between the two higher education institutions on April 23, 2018.
Under this program, one instructor and five students from the Faculty of Hydraulic Land Reclamation, along with one instructor and ten students from the Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization, have arrived in Turkmenistan from the Uzbek partner university. All guests have been accommodated in the dormitory of the Turkmen Agricultural University.
On the initial day of their visit, the students and instructors were acquainted with the infrastructure of the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov. Their subsequent agenda includes attending joint classes with Turkmen professors and instructors, as well as visiting specialized institutions and enterprises. These include the International Scientific and Technological Park of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, the State Central Botanical Garden of the Ministry of Agriculture, and the University's Training and Experimental Farm. In addition to their academic activities, a comprehensive cultural and entertainment program has been arranged for the guests from Uzbekistan, featuring a visit to the capital's "Tashkent" park.
The collaboration between the universities is reciprocal. A return visit is scheduled from July 6 to July 17, 2025, wherein one instructor and ten students from the Faculty of Hydraulic Land Reclamation, and one instructor and ten students from the Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization of the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov, will undertake an internship at the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers.
