Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan expresses concern over escalation in the Middle East
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan issued an official statement in connection with the Israeli missile strikes on populated areas and facilities in Iran on June 13, 2025. The Turkmen side expresses deep concern over the current escalation of tensions in the Middle East.
In its statement, the Foreign Ministry emphasizes that Turkmenistan, as a state with the status of positive permanent neutrality recognized by the United Nations, does not accept the use of force or the threat of its use as a way to resolve political and other issues.
"We emphasize the need to use a wide arsenal of political and diplomatic means to resolve any complex situations only by peaceful means based on the UN Charter and generally recognized norms of international law," the statement of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan says.
