Sergey Lavrov to pay official visit to Ashgabat
Russian Ambassador to Turkmenistan Ivan Volynkin announced the upcoming visit of the Russian Foreign Minister to Ashgabat.
"Currently, active preparations are underway for the official visit of the Russian Foreign Minister to Turkmenistan. We expect that Sergey Viktorovich Lavrov will visit Ashgabat at the end of June," Volynkin said, speaking at a gala reception on the occasion of Russia Day on Wednesday at the Yildiz Hotel.
The Ambassador expressed confidence that regular Russian-Turkmen dialogue is the most important factor influencing the development of the entire range of interstate relations.
The Ambassador's speech also noted: "We highly value and welcome the policy of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan, three times recognized by the relevant resolutions of the UN General Assembly."
