Despite intense competition, Huawei and XPeng have collaborated to create the industry's largest augmented reality head-up display (AR-HUD) for automobiles.

Traditional HUDs display basic information, but this new AR-HUD will significantly surpass them. It generates the effect of a transparent 87-inch screen for the driver, featuring high brightness (12,000 nits) and contrast (1800:1). Utilizing advanced augmented reality, the display will precisely indicate lanes, show recognized road signs, and provide crucial information, proving especially useful in conditions of poor visibility.

This technology is set to debut in the XPeng G7 electric crossover, which will go on sale in China in the second half of 2025. Such an innovative solution is intended to be a key advantage in the saturated Chinese electric vehicle market.
