Delegation of Belarusian universities visited Turkmenistan
A delegation of leading Belarusian universities visited Turkmenistan to strengthen educational and scientific cooperation between the two countries.
During the visit, the delegation visited the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Ashgabat, where they met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Turkmenistan Stanislav Chepurny. During the meeting, the prospects for Belarusian-Turkmen cooperation and support for Belarusian educational initiatives in Turkmenistan were discussed.
One of the central events of the visit was a visit to the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. During the talks with rector of the institute, Gulshat Yusupova, special attention was paid to the possibilities of implementing academic exchange and the Visiting Professor program, participation in international scientific conferences and joint publications. Then a meeting was held with students and teachers of the institute.
In Ashgabat, interviews were also held for Turkmen applicants, in particular, those wishing to enroll in Polotsk State University named after Euphrosyne of Polotsk. During the interview, future students learned first-hand detailed information about educational programs, admission conditions, and life in Belarus in general. The results of the visit were summed up at a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, where they highly appreciated the prospects for further Belarusian-Turkmen cooperation in the field of higher education.
