The Laboratory of the Etalon Center of Turkmenistan received international accreditation
The temperature measurement laboratory of the State Etalon Center of Turkmenistan received international accreditation, which means the official recognition of the high technical capabilities of the laboratory, the qualifications of its staff and, as a result, the quality of its research, its accuracy and reliability. Evaluation of compliance with international standards of temperature reference laboratory activities carried by Slovak National Accreditation Service (SNAS). The laboratory for measuring the temperature has a state standard of temperature unit in the range from -200° C to 660° C, which allows calibrating thermometers used in a variety of areas. The etalon complex consists of a set of the most modern profile tools and equipment, including from Fluke Corporation – the world leader in the production of electronic measuring instruments and related software. In preparation for international accreditation, the temperature measurement laboratory of the Etalon Center of Turkmenistan showed a good result in the test - interlaboratory tripartite comparisons conducted by the British Calibrations Institute (BCI) with the participation of the Vilnius Metrology Center (VMC). After that, an application was submitted to the Slovak National Accreditation Service. SNAS experts carried out a careful assessment at the location of the temperature measurement laboratory of the State Etalon Center and issued an international accreditation certificate that will be valid until the end of 2022 and an appropriate license. Today, the key task of the State Etalon Center of Turkmenistan is the international accreditation of all its laboratories that perform calibration of measuring instruments. Next is the certification of laboratories for measuring mass, force, volume and pressure. The Etalon Center of the Main State Service “Turkmenstandartlary” was opened in Ashgabat on October 1, 2013. The standard base - the enterprise is quite capital-intensive. The creation of one standard, and they are created on the basis of the most advanced modern technologies, materials, using the latest computer technology, takes years and considerable funds. But over time, all this will pay off with the quality of domestic products, its competitiveness in the domestic and foreign markets, the reputation and prestige of the country as a serious, reliable and responsible partner.
