Groundbreaking ceremony for new Children and Youth Center was held in Ashgabat on June 1
A groundbreaking ceremony for the Güneşli Children and Youth Center was held in Ashgabat. This event, timed to International Children's Day, underscores Turkmenistan's continued commitment to the development and education of the younger generation. A new building for the Bazar Amanov State Children's Library will also be built on the center's territory.
The Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care actively supports children's access to modern education and healthcare. Recently, the Arkadag football team, having won the Asian Football Confederation Challenge League, donated its prize money to the Charitable Foundation. It was decided to use these funds to build a new children's library and an observatory equipped with a telescope for studying space. The library will also be equipped with modern digital technologies, providing children with advanced learning opportunities.
The groundbreaking ceremony of the Güneşli Center was attended by high-ranking officials, including the Chairman of the Mejlis, members of the government, heads of the military and law enforcement agencies, the Mayor of Ashgabat, representatives of public organizations, the media and respected elders.
The Güneşli Center will provide children with all the conditions for developing knowledge and skills. It is planned to create various clubs for career guidance, sports and playgrounds, places for cultural events, an amphitheater, a site for learning traffic rules and other facilities.
