Belarus will commence the procurement of Turkmen vegetables, fruits, and polypropylene packaging
Turkmenistan and Belarus have reached an agreement on the supply of fresh, high-quality vegetables and fruits, as well as polypropylene film, to the Belarusian side. The corresponding contracts were concluded following a business mission of Belarusian enterprises to Ashgabat.
Negotiations took place from May 23rd to 27th within the framework of the XXIV International Multi-Sector Exhibition "White City Ashgabat" timed to coincide with City Day. The meetings were organized by the Minsk branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Embassy of Belarus in Turkmenistan, with the support of Turkmen partners.
Additionally, discussions are underway regarding the placement of an order in Turkmenistan for the production of specific plastic products using molds provided by the Belarusian side. This step could mark the beginning of industrial cooperation and technological collaboration between the countries.
The Belarusian delegation comprised heads of five enterprises interested in strengthening ties with Turkmen partners. The visit program included participation in the exhibition, meetings at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, and visits to leading enterprises in the country, including manufacturers of construction materials, packaging, and greenhouse complexes.
The exhibition and negotiations demonstrated a high level of interest in Belarusian technologies and products in Turkmenistan, and also opened new channels for Turkmen exports.
