The President of Turkmenistan got acquainted with the situation at the significant new buildings of the capital
Today, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the landmark new buildings of Ashgabat – the head of state visited the Congress Center, hotel and government tribune under construction in the south of the capital. All three facilities are scheduled to be put into operation in the spring of this year. The French company Bouygues Batiment International, a long-standing partner of Turkmenistan in the field of architecture and urban development, which has constructed many “status” key ready buildings in Ashgabat. The fact that French companies show great interest in Turkmen projects was mentioned by French President Emmanuel Macron in his message to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with congratulations on the Independence Day of Turkmenistan. He also noted that relations between the two countries are actively developing in the political, cultural and economic spheres. Among the new facilities under contract at Bouygues is the center for holding high-level international forums. The Head of state was informed about the construction progress here by Deputy Prime Minister Shamukhammet Durdylyev, who accompanied his report with a display of design layouts. The President focused on the quality of building materials and decorative details that should “impart” the national tradition. Next, the Head of state visited the site where the impressive complex of the Arkadag Hotel has grown, the construction of which has entered the final straight. While inspecting the facility, the President also called for compliance with the highest quality standards of construction and the reflection of the original motives of Turkmen art in the interior design. Mr. Berdimuhamedov put forward a special demand for gardening the surrounding area of the hotel, creating landscape aesthetics. Secretary of the State Security Council Chary Amanov reported to the Head of state at the construction site of the government tribune, in front of which festive military parades will be held. A plot of 20 thousand square meters has been allocated for this object, and its guest stand is designed for 2 thousand seats. In addition to the conditions for the passage of military equipment through the square, the conditions for horse processions and performances, which no big celebration in the country can do without, are also sophisticated. Deputy Prime Minister for Culture Myakhrijemal Mammedova told the President about the preparations for mass events to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence. Summarizing the recommendations and instructions based on the results of familiarization with the situation at the facilities, the head of state once again drew the attention of the executives to the importance of new buildings and structures that should emphasize the architectural beauty of Ashgabat, express its cordiality and embody the traditions of hospitality of the Turkmen people.
