Qatar and Turkmenistan sign football cooperation agreement
The Football Associations of Qatar and Turkmenistan signed a cooperation agreement aimed at developing bilateral relations in this sports field. The signing ceremony took place on Monday, May 26, at the headquarters of the Qatar Football Association, located in the Al Bidda Tower in Doha.
On behalf of the Qatar Football Association, the document was signed by the organization's president, Jassim bin Rashid Al Buenain, and on behalf of the Turkmen side, the signature was put by president of the Football Federation of Turkmenistan, Guvanch Ovekov.
The ceremony was also attended by General Secretaries of both federations: Mansour Al-Ansari (Qatar) and Serdar Geldiyev (Turkmenistan).
The signing of this agreement was another important step in the framework of the Qatar Football Association's strategy to expand cooperation with Asian football federations and strengthen ties with colleagues from friendly Asian countries.
