As part of his visit, he toured Luoyang Bearing Group Co., Ltd., the White Horse Temple, and the Longmen Grottoes. Only in this way can we achieve Chinese modernization".

4. Huawei Unveils Laptops with Proprietary HarmonyOS and World's First Foldable PC

On May 19th, Chinese tech giant Huawei presented its first laptops running on its own HarmonyOS operating system, as well as the world's first foldable commercial PC, the MateBook Fold Ultimate Design.

When unfolded, the MateBook Fold is only 7.3 mm thick and weighs 1.16 kg. The main feature of the new product is an 18-inch foldable OLED screen with a 3.3K resolution. Huawei claims it is the world's first laptop to use a dual-layer OLED panel capable of reaching a peak HDR brightness of up to 1600 nits. The display supports the HDR Vivid standard and a wide P3 color gamut.

Huawei states that LTPO technology has been applied for the first time in commercial computers, enabling an adaptive refresh rate and optimizing power consumption. The screen is reinforced with three layers of carbon fiber, which triples its strength.

A 285 mm hinge, the largest in the industry, was developed for the reliable operation of the folding mechanism. The three-stage hinge design ensures smooth opening and closing, while maintaining screen stability at both small angles (from 0 to 20 degrees) and a wide range from 30 to 150 degrees.

The MateBook Fold Ultimate Design runs on the HarmonyOS operating system and is fully integrated into the Huawei ecosystem. The device comes pre-installed with the WPS Office suite and supports many features common to other Huawei devices.
