Xiaomi debuts flagship Xring O1 chip and Xiaomi 15S Pro smartphone
Today, Xiaomi officially unveiled its new flagship system-on-a-chip, the Xring O1, and simultaneously announced the first smartphone based on it — the Xiaomi 15S Pro.
The Xring O1 chipset, manufactured by TSMC using a 3-nanometer process, demonstrates impressive performance comparable to market leaders such as Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite and MediaTek Dimensity 9400. It includes a 10-core quad-cluster central processing unit and a 16-core Immortalis-G925 graphics processing unit.
The Xiaomi 15S Pro smartphone features an advanced 6.73-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels and an adaptive refresh rate of 120 Hz. For eye comfort, a high-frequency 1920 Hz PWM dimming is implemented. The display is protected by durable Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass 2.0, and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner is located beneath it. Regarding photographic capabilities, the smartphone is equipped with a Leica camera featuring three 50-megapixel sensors.
The device's autonomy is ensured by a 6100 mAh battery with support for 90W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Other key features of the Xiaomi 15S Pro include IP68 water and dust resistance, support for UWB and Wi-Fi 7 technologies, the presence of an IR blaster, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port, stereo speakers, four microphones, and a powerful vibration motor.
