Turkmenistan steps up efforts to find new oil and gas fields
The State Corporation "Turkmengeology" is actively working to identify new oil and natural gas deposits in the western and southern regions of Turkmenistan, as reported by Deputy Prime Minister Batyr Amanov at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Friday, May 23.
It is reported that modern powerful equipment, seismic equipment and advanced software systems are used to search for deposits. Successful completion of these works will increase the volume of hydrocarbon resource production in the country in the future.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, having heard the report, emphasized that the country pays great attention to high-quality and effective geological exploration activities aimed at the systematic discovery of underground resources.
The head of state instructed the State Corporation "Turkmengeology" to continue to conduct exploration of hydrocarbon resources at the proper level, aiming at the prospect of increasing production.
